I bought my place S.W. of Columbus in '02 and used to let people hunt.
They were leaving trash, building fires improperly, and tearing up the fields.
I confronted a couple of guys hunting the wood line one morning and they gave me a hard time. They told me they'd been hunting there for years and would continue to do so.
I had to explain to them in .45acp terminology that it was my land, they didn't have permission, and I'd have them arrested IF they showed up again.
I would have let them continue to hunt if they'd been polite.
    Stupid people I guess.

A lot of landowners, as they have told me many times, are afraid to report trespassers because they are afraid that something might happen to them or their property.

I am somewhat affraid of that but if you don't do something about it they'll over run you and never respect the property or your rights as a land owner. If I have the chance I'll have someone arrested if they're a repeat offender. Usually one time telling them and they get the hint but some people don't. That why I alway carry when i'm hunting or just walking around on my land.

That Daniels guy should be coyote bait. I also have a deep gravel pit as well and I hope they can swim.

Actually, for me it is the opposite problem. I'd call the Sheriff, but I know they won't do much even if the person is a repeat offender...
