So I plan on taking a trip this weekend to KY for a day. Then back into IN to camp in the Hoosier National Forest for another day. My question is what do i need to worry about when having my gun on me in KY and in the Forest. I just want to make sure that i'm not breaking any laws. And what pre-cautions do i have to take in KY that i wouldn't have to take here?

The dress code. The dress code requirement for carrying a gun in Kentucky is quite strict. Here's an example of proper CCW in Kentucky:

Try to blend in with the locals.

As other have said here, you are good to go. I'd advise to you not wear shoes and don't smile. If they see you have all your teeth, they'll know you are a stranger, might get shot as a revenuer.

I don't see the answer above so...

you do have your LTCH in IN, right? :dunno:

If so, then carry on. :yesway:

If not then you need top leave the gun at home or at least unloaded, in a case & inaccessible in your car. At least while in IN.
