What's up :ingo:

Looking for some opinions on the TRL 1. I'm going to be using it with my G21sf. Has anyone else used that combo, or the TRL 1 itself? What do you guys think about it?

I have two of the TLR 1s

One on my G22 in a digital safe attached to my nightstand.
One on my wife's G17 in a digital safe attached to her nightstand.

I like the strobe feature of the light.

I have grandchildren in the house sometimes and don't use the light on the gun to check the house for a possible intruder at night. I use a flashlight for that so that I don't sweep one of them by mistake.

I also have 2 TRL-S that I move around on my Kimber 1911s, Glocks and even on the ARs and its a great, dependable and bright light for the $$

I have the TLR-1s too. I find activating the strobe feature to be a little tricky under pressure, and don't think I would actually ever end up using it on purpose. Other than that, it's reliable and pretty tough.

As mentioned by Glue dood, I have kids around the house and use a flashlight to check when something goes bang in the night, but have the TLR switched on in case it's a legit threat.

I'll be the odd duck, but I've had 2 fail on me. Both were issues with the switch, which has been typical with the Streamlight stuff I've used. That said, I've got several shooting buddies that swear by them
I'm pretty sold on the X300 now, especially since that the price isn't that far apart anymore.

I'd be doing it on trade, don't really have the cash to get one at the moment. Although the X300 looks really nice, the TRL 1 HL is the model I would be getting with the deal.

Anyone recommend holsters, preferable with pics?

Thanks for all the great info!

Since were on the topic, what's the diff between the TLR-1 HL and TLR-1 HP.

Different lumen output I see. Any other diffs, like beam pattern?

Nice lights. I'd recommend you splurge a little and get the TLR-1 HL. It's a fair bit more light output.

I got mine from theledwarehouse recently to replace my crusty old TLR-1.

So far the TLR-1 HL has performed nicely in low light and darkness shooting. It's very bright for a weapon-mounted light.

I disabled the strobe because I do not intend to use it.

Were you able to use the same holster for the HL as you were before? I have the 1s and wouldn't mind having the HL but I don't want to have to buy a new holster.
