truck gun rack?

Is it legal to keep a shotgun or rifle on a gun rack in your pickup truck? (Rear window mounted rack)
Not remotely looking for advise or debate on doing this. Just wondering if its legal.

I wouldn't see why it would be illegal. I wouldn't do it strictly because of would-be theives.

yes completely legal in Indianapolis. i spent a week driving around with a mosin in the back glass of my truck and not once did i have a problem

Legal? Yes.

A good idea? Not necessarily. I don't personally like the idea of a window gun rack, too tempting for thieves.

I prefer something like a Big Sky rack, or something similar to the Cabela's Edition of the Ford F150 wtih the lock box under the back seat.
