Turkey season

I'm really getting the itch to get out and do some turkey hunting .

I plan to take my son on his 3rd youth season this year and good lord willing he will bag his 1st bird.

We had him setup on a bird at 15 yards last season and he just couldn't sqeeze the trigger lol! but it was a blast!


Anyone else on here turkey hunt?

I live and breath it. Archery only though for me the past few years.

I'm personally hunting Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and (possibly) Kentucky this year. I've hunted them in Florida and Texas in the past also.

I'm jacked up about youth season. Hoping to get my 10 year old daughter her 3rd in 3 years, and my 8 year old daughter her 2nd in 2 years.

I love turkey hunting.

i agree i love turkey hunting. nothing better than calling and then seeing a tom or really a jake for that matter come a running. its a blast

I go to hoosier national forrest just south of bloomington or brown county. Hoosier has some excilent trails is you get bored too!

Getting the itch also. I was out this morning messing around at our farm and heard 4 toms gobble. It was enough to drive a man crazy. Can't wait til it opens. I am taking 2 kids youth weekend. I get just as much enjoyment watching them get birds. Good luck to everyone.

I was headed home on I70 from CO last week (3/11) and saw about a dozen in one flock somewhere around the SR 231 exit.

Be patient and don't call to much. Don't call too loud unless you are locating them.
