I was done with Cabelas when they got bought out. Ran my Visa through the shredder. Plenty of other on-line vendors to hit. Tackle Warehouse got my last tackle order. As far as transferring firearms I can usually find free or for $20. Anything over $20 they can pound sand. Online is the way to go. Hardly buy anything from a store anymore.

Cabelas/Bass Pro is dead to me.

Tackle Warehouse prices are cheaper and they carry name brands not store brands. They haven't started collecting tax yet either. I have been using them for years since Bass Pro ticked me off.

I gave up on them when I placed an order online to pick up in store. Sale item with a coupon. The day before it was due to arrive in the store they cancelled my order. I was told it was their prerogative to cancel an order. Of course it was then too late to use my coupon on something else. I decided with customer service like that and an apparent inability to manage their inventory, they didn't deserve my business anymore.

the cabela brand of cargo pants, PRIOR TO THE BUY BY BASS PRO, was/is good quality. mine are going on 3 years of weekly use and wash and just now beginning to show signs of wear/tear.

no idea if this has changed since the buy out.
