WOW the person isn't passed out .. amazing what the human body can take.
Absolutely amazing for all 3 in the photo. I pray to God that if ever presented with that situation I have the courage to carry on in any of those situations.

Makes you wonder if he was literally right on top of the bomb when it went off. Also suggests that the device was low to the ground (sitting on the ground in a bag, cooler, etc.) given that many of the injuries seem to be leg related vs upper extremities.

My cousin was one of the ER docs in Boston that ran a lot of the traumas. His fiance was reportedly within 30' of one of the explosions as well but was unharmed. She's a medical student who was helping the medical support of the race. Scary stuff.

    Seems like it.

Also, per one of the videos posted earlier up thread the explosions
were on the same side of the street.
One person carrying 2 bags... set one down, walk about 100 yards drop another..... speculation but you get my drift.

Dude literally holding someone's artery shut to keep him from bleeding out.

Very powerful, but graphic, photo: http://i.imgur.com/I5LY4w9.jpg
I saw that earlier from another angle. Didn't realize he'd lost both his legs. And didn't notice the femoral either...

That's absolutely horrible. My thoughts go out to those harmed today. I hope the madmen responsible are brought swiftly to justice.

This is an example of terrorism and once caught and properly convicted the scum should be executed on site publicly

It almost looks like a certain smoke from something fairly common among shooting enthusiasts. almost.

    ... oh God.

I swear by all that is holy, if they try to say these bombs were filled with tannerite, I'm going to lose my ****.

The picture of the guy in the wheelchair missing both legs below the knee is...just...wow.

Heartbreaking and powerful and angering all at the same time.
