Found two gun polls that you might want to throw your 2 cents in on. The first is about offering gun safety education to children in New Jersey schools. Pretty good debate in the comments as well.

Poll: Is educating young children about gun safety a good thing? | NJ.com

The second is a little different as it isn't the usual press question, but instead is offered by the NRA. They do ask for name/e-mail address, so I'm sure they are using it to build a mailing list as well.

    NRA Sportsman Guide Snap Poll

Edit: Added two additional polls in post #6 below.

Thank you for voting! Yes. Teaching children to respect, properly handle firearms is a good thing. 92.53% (768 votes)

Yes. But adults need the education more than children. They are most often the careless ones. 6.14% (51 votes)

No. Children should not be taught about gun safety. It encourages them to want one. 0.6% (5 votes)

No. All guns should be outlawed and confiscated. 0.72% (6 votes)

Just found two more relevant polls. The second one is going the wrong way right now. Please check them out.

About that 72yo NJ man with a flintlock in his antique collection:

About open carry in Texas (Austin is a Liberal enclave in Texas, so the current negative response isn't shocking):
    Code:

    And for those on mobile:

I can't believe they even did a survey regarding firearms in NJ which is the most anti 2nd
    Amendment State in the USA!
