    Considered contacting Kershaw to see if they'll fix or replace the lock mech?

    Yes, but after seeking a different type of knife and purchasing some Spyderco's and Benchmades (this was the excuse I needed to convince the wife ;)), I don't think I'll ever go back to that type of lock. Emerson has the same style of lock as the Kershaw, but made much better IMO. Even if I did send it in to Kershaw, I have no confidence in it due to the past experiences. I believe everything happens for a reason and these incidents sent me on an enjoyable knife search, plus, I troll this forum a lot more now and have met a lot of great personalities here that I probably would not have met. So, the demon blade will sit untouched, but appreciated!
