type 53 barrel band springs

I just picked up a Type 53 rifle, but the barrel band springs are missing. My question is would any mosin/m4 barrel band springs work on the type 53 or dose it have to be type 53 specific? I would assume its all the same but rather check with someone who knows so I dont waste money.

I would think they'd be the same as for an M44, but looking at Numrich's site (all sold out btw), they do have a different part number, so maybe not. The M44, M38 and 91/30 all have the same part numbers but the T53 is different. Now I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't work but I just can't say for sure.

Any late model Mosin spring will work. Probably the only difference worthy of a different part number would be arsenal markings.
