It's wonderful that the United Nations took time out of its busy schedule of corruption, grift, and the sexual abuse of children to lecture us, and tell us not to use disproportionate force. Federal agents use tear gas and baton rounds to disperse mobs of people who are trying to blind them with lasers, throwing fireworks/bricks/bottles at them, barricade federal agents into the courthouse they are protecting, and trying to set the courthouse on fire.

I'm sure that Armenia, Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Libya, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Namibia, Netherlands, Poland, Republic of Korea, Sudan and Venezuela have such wonderful human rights records that they have the moral authority to lecture the United States

Just like the WHO, perhaps the UN needs to remember not to bite the hand that feeds them. We pay for 22% of their budget, including 27.89% of their peacekeeping budget. If that funding decreases that is a lot of bureaucrats without paper to push.

Close it down. Period. Without our money it is an empty shell. Hell with our money it is an empty shell.

And since they own the property, after we leave, erect a wall around it and make the access toll based. $5 to enter on foot, $25 for a car, Trucks are charged $25 plus $10/ton of cargo.

Oh, and also add a no fly zone directly overhead, so they cant come and go by chopper.

We cant kick them out, but we can nickel and dime them to get our money back.

The UN's existence is utterly pointless.

China is committing genocide with death camps, and what is the UN doing about it? Nothing, because China sits on the UN's human rights council. As does Saudia Arabia, where they still routinely crucify teenagers, and behead women.
But they think they're qualified to tell us that we're doing something unethical...

US should leave, NATO is enough. The UN doesn't provide us any tangible benefits.

If anything the US remaining in the UN as they sit silently and allow these things to continue in the world, is becoming a blight on our image. All the UN exists for today is protecting China's genocide operation from foreign repercussions.

We have the world's most powerful military, they can get as uppity as they want and we can still take that land back without doing more than thinking about it.

Agreed, but we are better than that. It was deeded to them back in the day, so they own it fair and square. Though it doesnt mean we cant make it incredibly inconvenient for them to use it. :): Because you KNOW they would to the same to us... or worse.

They're serial human rights abusers and should have their land confiscated for that express reason.

Lets see the media spin that.

They'll spin it that you're a literal Nazi for stealing their land like your ancestors did the Indians.... I mean indigenous peoples. :):

Has the UN peacekeeping forces EVER succeeded in any mission?
And why is the U.S. contributing so much money to that farce of a force. (for lack of a better term)

I couldn't tell you a time where they actually succeeded in keeping the peace...

The UN deploys "peace keepers" but continues to look the other way when things are happening. The UN is Neville Chamberlain in the form of an organization.

We just closed down a consulate in Texas, we should do the same to the Secretariat.

    .
I almost fell out of my chair laughing reading this. From an organization that has coddled some of the most brutal regimes in history, it takes some chutzpah to issue that warning.

    So, you've never seen M*A*S*H?

That would be the United Nations Command which is still in the ROK. The 7th Air Force Commander at Osan had an organization chart that looked like a wiring diagram from a 70's stereo. IIRC he was the Deputy CINC of the United Nations Command along with being the Coalition Forces Air Component Commander under US Forces Korea; not to be confused with being the Commander of the Air Component Command (bilateral treaty between US and ROK). Administratively he answers to the Pacific Air Forces Commander in Hawaii (USAF 4 star).
