UPS can't find enough help

Our numbers for applicants have been down over the past couple of years.

Hmmmmm, I worked as a holiday "jumper" for UPS several years ago and got well over 60 hours a week and the pay then was more in the $14 an hour range. No bennies, no perks, but nice paychecks for about a month.

They told me up front, no chance to get on full time permanent and Christmas Eve was my last day period.

Did it two years in a row.

As some one who worked there for a year, it is decent pay but bartered work. Its a lot of very poor management decisions on a daily basis. If you don't have a job, its not bad. However, I couldn't stand it for more than a year.

I have a class A cdl, how are they to drive for as a guy that wants to be home on evenings and weekends, you know, a regular schedule?
