Urban deer hunting?

are you allowed to hunt deer within "city" limits only in the areas listed as "urban deer zones"? or is that simply the zones you are allowed the one extra deer.?

Yes! That's the point of Urban hunting. I have used one in Hamilton Co urban areas.

edit: sorry i know, there is another thread complaining about people like me not knowing the regs. but the pdf is clear as mud. the faqs are much better acutally.
i see those areas listed as getting an extra deer but not that is says you cant hunt elsewhere with a regular bag limit.

Usually the Urban Deer Zone areas (read: city deer hunting) have special regulations that are specific for that area. A call to the DNR may be in order if the regs aren't enough for you.

DNR zones do not override city laws.. check your city laws to make sure you can hunt in that area..
( DNR trapping laws might override local laws...)

You're smart to ask. There are lots of questions, not because hunters on this forum are dumb, but because the regulations are very convoluted.
