Considering lake city recently stopped commercial production, I'm guessing that supply isn't destined for us.

Not weird at all. The diversion of small arms to Ukraine is a flood now.

FMS is a mess. This is a step before indictments. Army Times and Defense News had an article earlier this month.

I wonder how much ammo production is domestic as opposed to imports for the US.

Modern wars are heavy consumers of logistics, maybe leadership is concerned about meeting present and future commitments.
