I'm not locked into a paradigm that most things like this, can't be fixed.
EVERY problem has a solution...in theory.
    Exactly, Denny.

Creed, you offered a suggestion. I pointed out how it COULD be done, but its just not practical.

I COULD dig a ditch with a garden trowel. But the effort wouldnt be worth the outcome.

And with people thinking like that, that's why lots of things just don't get fixed.
Everything has a cost, when LE wants it changed, it will change.
When the public demands change, it will change.
Its nothing more than a Cost Benefit Analysis.

I struggle with getting killed in the LE world is somehow different than one having a violent death with an industrial accident or getting ripped apart in a PTO shaft is not the same as being killed while in LE.
Danger is Danger, Dead is Dead.

Seeing someone die at the hands of another person, seeing malicious violent consequences, is a very VERY different experience to an accident. No matter how bad of an accident it might be.

There's complicated psychology to it, and we wouldn't need psychologists if it was that easy to process.

I've had a lot of friends who were in active combat in Afghanistan. It gets ugly and complicated. Some of the body's reactions to the shock can also cause significant trauma. This stuff just does not happen with an accident.

    I stopped reading with...

But it did make me laugh.
    Laugh at what now?

The part you highlighted was "But here is a key that you may be missing, Creed; standard commercial vehicles have no good reason to speed, LEO do."

So, are you saying you don't think that the police are/should be allowed to drive over the speed limit in certain circumstances? Or what?

Good fair discussion and analysis in this video. It was stated that there was 2.9 sec from door opening to shots fired. Definitely too many Karens and Kens in today's society tattling on everyone and everything.
