I think I am going to bring the Trojan. However, I'm not real comfortable competing with it. I haven't put enough rounds through it or handled it enough. I'll get there in just enough time to walk the stages and decide how I want to shoot. SS, Production, Limited...who knows...:D

Shoot it, it's the only way to you will get any confidence in it before you decide to drive all the way up to Warsaw and try to shoot classifiers with it.

I had 3 crappy matches with my Spartan prior to the WVPPS match, but each one got a little less crappy.

There was only 13 Limited 10 shooters at MI.

Limited is where the big boys play.

And I've thought about it and may think about it some more.
I not only don't like the thought of spending $2500+++ for a gun and mags, I don't have a thing to reload .40 with. No dies, no brass, few primers....

I'm sure it'd take a bunch of cash to get into it and those pesky grandkids of mine look upon me with disfavor when I skimp at Christmas....

My post about SS wasn't so much around Indiana, since it seems to get lots of love in this Indiana. I just noticed they only had NINE single stackers at the TN match and MI only had 13 and nobody above B.

Guess I was surprised since we had a great turnout at both the SS/Prod & State matches Indiana had this year.

How did you think I won???

    Beat a couple Grandmasters???

Get your gear on and get to a major match, that'll be more shooters.

I hear ya, I have to decide what I'm going to do, as I have a Junior that wants to start shooting. I load .40, but have 9mm and .45's that are hungry.

Goal for next year ;) , like Coach said shoot 1911/2011's in 2011.

Another outstanding match with a little of just about everything Max could think of to throw at us. It was a tough, but VERY fun match. A few mistakes here and there, but overall shot it fairly well.

If any of you have been missing this one...get your butts out there!

Had a blast as usual, had to throw a mike on the stinking classifier, just something about High Standards that I can't manage.

Great seeing everyone again and the food was great!

This was my 5th or 6th match and had a ball. Didn't shoot worth a poop but had fun. Max, Bob and the rest of the SC crew did a great job. Some real challenging stages.

Great match, had a blast. Few things went wrong and those where just production class habits crossing over to limited. Dropping a mag that still has 12 rounds in it just doesn't make since most of the time.

I used it, but ended up having a jam and screwed myself and shot the target again.

My first attempt at bringing the Nowlin out of retirement and the firing pin broke, lucky I had the Trojan as a back up, but had a double feed jam on it. So much for my first two stages.
Everything ran fine after that, but pretty sure I didn't give you much to worry about!!

Always have fun at the SC matches, sorry didn't stay for the food, I had to work tonight.

Yes, thanks Max and crew for the great matches. I had to shoot and scoot on the last stage, had to get my grandson home on time. I appreciate folks letting me to the head of the line.

Good stages, dropped a Mike on the far bay, musta pulled off too soon. That and 2 mikes on the classifier by trying to go too fast. I've got to work on hosing 3 targets at 15 yds, that's a little out of my hoser range.

I tried Slide Glide Lite on the Trojan and guesss what , in cold weather it is not a good Idea. Bay 4, knock down Ted and shoot 1 shot and push the slide forward and the clamshell is back up so head shot push slide forward shoot 1 shot push the slide forward tell (Tom Schween he is a no good dog because he gave me the Slide Glide to try) shoot 1 shot and OHHHH it actually cycled but in sloooooowww motion, shoot the rest of stage 4 with a super slow cycling Trojan!!!! After the stage off to safe area for some good old OIL and then the Trojan ran like a champ. Thanks Tom!!!!! he said something about Locktight and Slide Glide being the same color!!!
