Utah ccw

Ive been thinking about getting my non resident Utah ccw and read that if you have
a marijuana conviction you cant get one. Anyone know how true this is. Needless to say
back in college i got busted. I have the Indiana Ltch. And have bought guns since then so a back ground check comes up fine just wanting opinions.

Can't help on a pot bust but when I applied for Utah I found out a DUI will disqualify you for ten years. It had been over that amount of time for mine and was issued and have been renewed. The best part of this is I haven't had a drink for almost 19 years. Jim.

The 4th question on the application reads: "Have you ever been convicted of the unlawful use of narcotics or other controlled substance?". The instructions say if answered yes, attatch documentation explaining your answer. It does not specifically say it disqualifies you.
