I had an appointment at the V.A. yesterday. As I was waiting to see the doctor, I was on my phone. I noticed they had free WiFi, so I connected.
When I tried to get on INGO, their Wi-Fi settings blocked the site for "weapons" content.
I tried to get on the Palmetto State Armory site, out of curiosity, and was shut down again for "weapons" content.
Who would have ever thought that our military veterans would have an interest in weapons??

You should have tried the PORNO site. There is a good possibility you could enjoy your stay.

Hmmm. You REALLY need to use INGO when receiving medical care? There was a time when all you could do was look at "Parents" magazine or equivalent that had been thumbed through by people who don't wash their hands after using the restroom.

    Just sayin....

Are you sure those aren't car thieves?

I don't Know, I get there early and park in the handicap section and limp in.

I never thought of that. It would be a really easy way to steal cars and have a nice long head start before anyone else knew the difference.

    So...

Are you going to try it?

So, I found a way to beat the system. I had an eye appointment at the VA, this morning.
Opened up INGO on my phone, before I went in. Logged in to their Wi-Fi, when prompted. INGO worked without issues.

I haven't been able to connect to it in a while. A building like that it's amazing WiFi/other connections work as good as they do. About the only place you don't get phone service is near MRI and Audiology. Full disclosure: I've worked there for 10 years (non-patient care).
If you have a competent network team and are willing to invest in WiFi access points, it's not surprising. Quantity and placement of the AP's as well as enough bandwidth to support it are the key.

That’s good to know. I’ve never had an issue shopping most gun sites or GB, but knowing there is an option is nice.

Giant devices creating magnetic waves strong enough to do this have a tendency to really mess with RF equipment. So do the walls lined with lead designed to keep all manner of waves contained. (if harmful radiation cant get out, harmless radiation most certainly cant get in.)

And yes, this freaky forceful behavior isnt just for physical, tangible objects. It affects invisible radio waves too. I dont blame them for not wanting to put radios every 25' around this department just so a patient can goof off online because they are bored.

Comcast may not allow such sites.

COMCAST doesnt give a flying F what you do in general. They just provide the internet feed. Its the customer paying that bill that does. As much as I hate Commiecast and wouldnt pee on them if they were on fire, the blame lies with those paying the bill who are unwilling to allow such dangerous talk such as this place so they put up content filters.

I still laugh that the restaurant chain Hacienda will let me sit in their bar and drink myself stupid to the point I can do actual damage to people and places around me as I drive home, but heaven forbid I am allowed to visit a firearms site such as this while on their wifi and chat about guns. :faint:
