It's about 500 yards from where I grew up...I delivered newspapers there when it was a residential home....The cabin went up in 2001...Here's a pic of me doing some living history promo photos for the site and a pic my mom took last night....

I have a vague tickle of a memory that I visited that cabin back when I was a young'un, on a school field trip or something. Might be wrong, not sure.

Very sad that it's gone, but I am confused about when it was destroyed. Recently or in 2001.

Aha.. Looks like this was a recreation of the original cabin, built about 20 years ago? Was burnt down last night, along with several other brush fires in the Falls of the Ohio SP:

York belonged to George Rogers Clark iirc and was taking care of him at the cabin.....George Rogers then either willed him or let William borrow him for the expedition...I know after the expedition he was back in Clarksville at Clark's cabin....

William Clark may have inherited him after George Rogers passed away...

It was an interesting evening in the neighborhood last night. Huge amount of fire trucks, and a few helicopters hovering around. My wife had to park on Harrison avenue and walk the rest of the way home.
I’ve heard unconfirmed reports that a kid with red hair and carrying or riding a skateboard is suspected, so yes, probably some little antifa wannabe piece of ****.

Vultures roost all around the cabin and boat ramp area. When all of this was going on last night, I noticed my dogs standing in the yard staring at the sky, never seen so many vultures at one time

I have no problem with that. I’m absolutely sick of these ****s running around in society with no intent other than to cause problems for everyone else. I believe things are going to get really ugly for the disrespectful trash that thinks they have free reign to do whatever they feel like doing. And I can’t wait for it, I want to see it on the nightly news, and be able to search it on YouTube.
