    I've noticed a ton of vetrans on here already but i didnt find a thread for us. I was hoping to meet some more in here and hopefully have a good place to swap stories and things like that...feel free to shoot me down if its dumb but hey...i have the next 30 days of not doing anything getting paid before i can leave this hell of a desert. I always forget how good living things smell like grass, trees, that sorta ****.

    I'm nate joined the Marines in 2009 did two combat deployments had a good time...who else we got here?

    1/10 ACR, 4th ID. RVN, '69-'70. Can't say I had a good time, but I do appreciate what I/we have here in the USA more than I would have without that experience.

    First thing that stood out at me, when I got home from the middle-east... how wet, green and humid Indiana is. Felt like I had been transported from hell to Eden.

    Glad to meet you Marine! USAF engineer here, 31 years and still at it. Currently deployed for the 9th time.(4 AOR and 5 stateside since 9-11.) Im currently getting sand in my boots again and hopefully will rotate home before Christmas. Really miss the green and people who speak the same language. Thanks for your service and what you do.     Anyway, Combat Engineer in the US Army and then contractor with DynCorp. Didn't do anything of particular interest or note.

    I was in D Troop 1/10 Cav, 4ID in Iraq. Lets see here, 8thID, 101st ABN, 1st AD, 7th ATC, 4ID. From June 83 to September 2004.
