I also have a M-45 Firestar in Starvel instead of blued like yours.
Carried it for many years.
It is a solid built pistol that would shoot anything I could find for it to digest.
Glad I have 6 mags for mine.
I made a gross mistake with it though by sending it out to be Magnaported.
Thought I could reduce the recoil by having it ported.
It did reduce the recoil significantly, but turned it into a flamethrower.
The flame from the porting actually obscures the front sight.
And shooting it at night is now impossible.

But it is still a good shooting pistol.
