What are the state of Indiana's laws regarding protecting yourself in a demonstration? I know of at least one incident in Bloomington where a driver was arrested for running someone over as she tried to escape.
Regardless of the law, realize that any defensive actions will result in 80 - 100 "witnesses" who will swear you were the aggressor and attempted to murder "peaceful protesters."

Avoid anyplace a protest may occur.

Unless you have an M249, the law may be the last thing you have to worry about when surrounded by psychos.

Keep yourself alive, and if you end up going to jail, you end up going to jail.

Do yourselves a favor, regardless of your stance on masks. If you find yourself confronted or near a crowd such as those last summer, put on a mask.

It’s a two prong approach, helps blend you in to the crowd who are all covering their faces so as to avoid getting caught on camera committing crimes and it hides your identity should you be forced to defend yourself.

covid is the perfect excuse to hide your identity, use it.

Make sure you read this: https://www.indianagunowners.com/th...ally-sanctioned-violence.506318/#post-8710806

...and plan and prepare accordingly. Situational awareness is key.

    Beyond that:

-Make sure your tank is above 1/2
    -Wear sturdy but maneuverable footwear
-Have a bag packed and ready to evac your vehicle.
-Have a preplanned exfil route from your primary travel route, with a safe destination.
-Wear nondescript clothing, nothing that makes it easy to spot you in a crowd. Be able to blend in.
-***Have a plan of action. Know ahead of time what you plan to do in various scenarios, and be ready to act and steadfast in the reaction.***

    As for the evacuation bag:

Contents are your decision, but an IFAK, flashlight, water, safety glasses, gloves and a particulate mask are recommended. Anything beyond that is “mission-specific.” If you have to bail from a vehicle, pre- or post-confrontation, the contents of this bag will help you stay alive and get home. Obviously bailing post-confrontation is a completely different and more complicated animal than bailing because you see mopes ahead blocking traffic and you see bad events unfolding. Timing is key, which is why situational awareness is so important.

**If you have to move on foot in the hot zone - BLEND IN and FADE AWAY
