Vortex Scopes?

Looking at a vortex viper 6.5-20x50. Anyone have any firtst hand experience good or bad?

vortex is a great company and there scopes are very decent, especially for the price. i am waiting on their pst lines to come out

I have a 4-12X; I'd say good value scope, it's not as good as a high end scope, but for the price not bad at all.

Typical chinese glass. The local gun shop told me that they are having a huge return rate on them due to failures. Vortex has spent a ton of money on marketing and promotion. Don't buy the hype.

I read some pretty bad things about their crossfire line, poor glass, not holding zero, etc.. But the reviews I have read on the Viper line have been excellent. So I ordered one. Once reiceved I will post my opinion and if any one lives near Noblesville and would like to compare it to another scope we can meet up and you can check it out.
