Who died and made him God? The president may hold a critical office, but is still a citizen of the United States and as such is equal with all he represents. The notion that government office makes one part of a small subset of super-citizens is a major part of the reason why the nation is in the pathetic condition it is in. The Constitution prohibits the existence of an aristocracy for a reason, and that wise measure is largely nullified by allowing some to act as a de facto aristocracy. Enjoy serfdom much? Keep up with this way of thinking and you will get to find out.

True, but "the POTUS" still should have protection.

All things being equal, I would agree, just as the same applies to us under the Second Amendment. If our safety isn't important enough for him and others in government to respect it, then he can do without as well so far as I am concerned.

Those in office should NEVER be allowed to have things of which they deprive us, particularly when we would supply ourselves at our own expense, unlike them.
