Take this for what it is worth?

Yesterday at noon Walmart App stated "out of stock"
AT 6pm App stated "in stock", so i stopped by at 9pm. Manager said "no stock". App said "in stock" all night.
I stopped in at 6am staff was stocking ammo. I bought my 3.

    Something smells fishy.

In stock to the app is as soon as the truck drops it off. Walmart never puts the stock on the shelves as soon as they get it.

ammo at walmart comes in during the day, it gets stocked the next morning, the app said it was in stock, it was, but it was not stocked on the shelf for sale

its nothing fishy, they do that at all walmarts. i have a friend who works at wally world in eville he is very defensive about the wal mart ammo policy, he will argue with you about it, he cant even buy ammo for himself!, he has to wait till he go's on break to buy it, and by then it's all gone. you should have heard the arguement he got into with someone who said that the employees buy it all for themselves!

i stopped by the walmart in henderson last thursday on my way to work (about 7.45am)and bought 3 boxes of tula .223(thats the limit they will sell), ive stopped by every morning since and they have been out of everything. on monday the ammo went out at 5.45 am, it was all gone when i got there at 7.45

Yeah, the app can be confusing. It does show when it is in. I went in when they were stocking at night and the stock boy checked the locked cage and told me that they had ammo, but he couldn't get it because the dept manager has to get it in the Am and check it in before it us sold.

Sp, what you need to do is find out when the dept manager comes on duty, and be there at the counter then. I have had decent luck doing that.

    WALMART

Even going by a Wal-Mart I feel as if I have been violated in some sort of Chi-Com socialistic way. They may have some Made In USA product inside but since I have not been in one for the last 10-12 years I really would not know. Just the sight of one makes me cringe and feel like the next step is wearing uniforms made of burlap. I suppose my fondest memories of shopping at Chi-Mart was Sunday mornings after church service as the children were cut loose and cursed at by their parent. :dunno:

I sent my mom, who live in Columbia City, last week because it said in stock. She got there and was told they were all out. As she was turning to leave someone brought a whole case of .22 over that someone had stashed in the electronics department. I guess why let people buy when you can snag it yourself and triple your money on armslist..

Im sorry, but open your eyes to the places you feel "safe" shopping.
Hardly anything comes from the US anymore. Blame walmart all you want, but the problem is much much bigger.

Its your life, do with it as you please, but I have to say something, because I hate when people just bash walmart as their driving past, to then go to lowes and buy the same damned chinese made product, only with an America name on it, and at a higher price just because they feel good about it.

All while driving their "Made (by God!) in the USA" vehicle that was mostly made in Mexico or Canada. Like it or not, it is a global economy. :dunno: Bet a lot of the Walmart bashers don't have any issue buying ammo for their AK's from the godless commie Russians... ;) American made 7.62x39 was ridiculously expensive before all the panic stuff happened.

I find it interesting that the Wal-Marts local to me all have different rules regarding ammunition. Some can and will tell you what is on the truck, others won't, even though a manager can print it out. Most have a three box limit, but some do not. And some say three boxes total per customer per day, once I was told in the same WM that it was three boxes of any one caliber, and I was able to buy three boxes each of three different types of ammo. They are inconsistent, but still cheap if you can find what you want there.

I've been told the individual store managers can set policy for their store. The Walmart next to where I live have a 3 box limit and the one next to where I work had a 1 box limit.

my walmart never stocks ammo, only thing that has been on the shelves for months has been shotgun shells, and a couple boxs of 270win

Ditto. I have found and purchased ONE box of .40 since the Newtown shooting. That is it.

I used to work at wal mart stocking at night, ammo comes in at night on the truck and is stocked the next morning by the sporting goods sales associate.

Just in at the wrong times, ammo at Corydon goes out at 7-7:30 am. Usually have a line waiting. Got in several cases of pistol cals and .22 on Monday. Normal is a few boxes everyday and one big shipment per week.
