What would be the best press to get for lots of different size ammo?

That's like asking who make the "Best" Truck-Ford-Chevy-Dodge!!

There are 1/2 dozen or so Mfg's of quality reloading presses. Read up+go to the shops+ check them out for yourself.
You will find that Lee tools are the lowest priced.
You will find that Dillon+Redding are the highest priced.

RCBS, Hornady, Lyman are priced in between.

Do some reading here on INGO and stop into ProFire Arms&Supply. Andrew will walk you through the "Hi's+Low's" of each Mfg....Bill.

I have a Lee Precision Classic Turret Press that I've been very happy with. It's easy to switch back and forth between calibers and it won't break the bank. Here's a link:

4 Hole Classic Turret Press - Lee Precision

With a little practice you can load hand gun ammo at a rate of about 150-200 rounds an hour pretty easily.

A single stage press will get you off an running for even less money, but they are far less convenient to use.

Another vote for the LCT ! Can be used as a single state or with the indexing rod installed for greater speed...

The sticky at the top of the ammo threads is a great place to start. I've pasted a link above. I stand by the simple Lee turret press and have loaded a few thousand with few problems. If you are going to be in Indy anytime, you owe it to yourself to stop by Profire Arms on Maywood and talk to Andrew. His knowledge and ability to explain things makes him a very valuable resource.

Start with a single stage set-up, then move on to a dillon 550 when you get tired of slow production rates.

Unless you plan on shooting an ungodly amount of ammo a year, don't bother with the Dillon 650.

The standard advice I give is this:

If most of your shooting will be precision big-game rifle rounds, go with an RCBS RockChucker.

If most of your shooting will be pistol and 223 rounds, go with a Lee Classic Turret, as mentioned above.

If you will be shooting a LOT of ammo, period, get a Dillon press...550 or 650.

Lee turret press for me too. It won't break the bank and I can load around 100 rnds an hour for my handguns. You can buy different accessories to really make them convenient.
