I love my Yugo SKS just the way they made it. Changing it would keep me from going back in time, but I have other up-to-date weapons to shoot. I don't think I would be happy with after market products either.

yes as is , you are legal but
add a removable mag and its 922r time
think the mag is 3 parts on the count
I use only tapco 20s work great.
Scope is doable but pain in the ass , need a good mount
    and a deflector.

I've been looking for a tapco stock and mags for the last few days and it seems like they are on a 2 to 4 month back order.

from what i have read about 922r local police don't even know about and its not really enforced.

Its illegal to not have the American parts in place, will you be busted for it? I highly doubt it, do you want to be in compliance with the law, thats up to you. What else do you want to know about it? :dunno:

    Hi
You want to change parts thats the price of admission 922r
    its easy to obey .
depending on the sks there is a list of parts that count.
Sks is if a fun platform you can leave it or mod it
I have stock ,and total mods but they all are 922r

so i finally got a tapco stock on my sks, the gas tube was a major pain in the ass. I've seen some dust covers with a rail on them for mounting a scope or a red dot sight, has anyone used this before? I'd like to put a semi cheap scope on this rifle .

Well for gussying one up, I'm surprised no mention of the SG Works bullpup kit...

Have to say I'm kind of interested and also nervous of it at the same time. My Norinco could use a new stock, but I'm leaning more toward just a good replacement wood one personally.

I've seen that bullpup setup before and it looks really nice but from what I've read it seems like a lot of work to get in working well. I went with a tapco stock I love it. With the original stock it felt like I didn't have enough room on the butt of the rifle but with the new stock (collapsible) I have tons of room now. I just got 2 20 round mags in the mail today and they fit like a glove cant wait to go to the range and try them out. has anyone tried a angled fore grip on a sks? I think i want that next instead of a straight fore grip.

got my tapco stock on and a couple 20 round tapco mags. I just need a angled for grip and maybe some new iron sights..... for now.
(I like how the mags clash with the stock)

    hi
looks good , did you do the Bolt Mod ?
It allows you to remove l the Mag with the bolt closed.

no but I've been looking into it, it does suck having to have the bolt open to load a mag but its not a deal breaker. It looks like its a pretty easy process, just shaving down either side of the bolt.
