either accidentally or on purpose?

I knew a person that cleaned black powder pistols in the dishwasher, he used to be married. Your mileage may vary.

I have done numerous very in-depth tests to answer this very question.

The answer is that the clothes washer is better because since the gun is moving around, it "knocks loose" the crud in the hard to reach places.

It is annoying in the dryer, but throw in a scented sheet thing and it will be well worth it.

I have never heard of anyone doing it on purpose, That is until now. Hmm might have to turn up the t.v. then it's on the dryer for sure. Shoes are bad enough.

I tried it on Glocks in both machines first because I figured they are the closest firearm to worthless tupperware that is available. I was happy with the results.

It wasn't until I put a SS Colt revolver through the tests that I was really impressed though. Man talk about putting a shine on something...
