Definitely not the only terrible pothole up here (I work on 86th). I drive by tons of them, very deep... just without the hubcap ornaments around them.

One I really hate is Southport road just east of Meijer on that bridge-area... they've had some metal plates there for years now... and right after them is a terrifyingly rough pothole. That whole area is awful.

Wouldn't the hubcaps be after the pothole?

Try driving in south Chicago now. Exposed rebar is pretty common on the potholes around that area...

Silly Bob, hubcaps don't grow from snow, hubcaps grow on trees. Auto dealers find them in peak pothole season like a squirrel hunting for nuts before winter.
