Somebody please tell me what set of Japanese style water stones to buy. I'm not a cheap ass, and would like a decent set. It seems like I use more and more scandi stuff, and these would be the bees knees after watching the Ray Mears video on them.
Chosera is supposed to be the best. I have a 1000 grit that I may part with cheaply. I've decided that while I'd like to do stone sharpening eventually, for now it makes sense for me to just use a 1x30 sander. Check out a guy named Virtuovice on Youtube, he's from Japan and he breaks down the Japanese stones. These are synthetic, not natural. The company is also known for their natural stones, but these are supposed to be worlds better (and supposedly far better than King stones, which is a big Japanese name).
