So I am trying to build a tent platform on the cheap. I am thinking about either just doing pallets and plywood or if I feel froggy, maybe actual dimensional lumber and then plywood. My question is, do I have to use pressure treated plywood or can I use non-osb plywood and say Thompson's water sealer?

    .
Treated plywood if it's outside, it will delamiante otherwise. An alternative might be treated decking boards.

Didn't think about the flex seal. its really pricey. the grade x plywood is about 15 bucks a sheet so I will probably go that route.

Treated plywood will definitely be better, but if your platform will always be covered, it's probably not necessary.

look for a product called Advantec. It is a composite board similar to osb but is man. with water proof glue and has a 50 year man. warranty when used as sub floor material. It holds up very well out in the weather. We made a roof for our forklift out of it 8 years ago, other than turning dark it still looks as it did new. We sell a 3/4 inch thick sheet (4x8) at my place of employment for around 26 dollars. It is available in thinner sheets but the 3/4 is all we sell so my experience is limited to that size.
