I met my dad at Waveland Gun Club today and shot for a few hours.
Sharon was very nice and told us a little about the place.
The place is bare bones but that is what I expected and just what we needed.
We just wanted to shoot some steel rimfire targets, cans, and they do have places to staple or tape targets to.
We only took rifles and I didn't have anything to reach out to the 338 yard range lol.
I just did the annual pass it was $40 but that includes 3 guest passes and unlimited immediate family at the same address.
We hike and canoe a lot in this area so being able to shoot is just a bonus for us and it's about the 1/2 way point for my dad and I to meet up.
Pretty funny story came from today .
My dad and I exchanged birthday gifts today at Shades after shooting.
We planned to grill out but I forgot a lighter for the charcoal.
One of his gifts just happened to be a magnesium fire starter that worked on the second try.
He did ask me not to say anything about the lighter fluid and paper towels.
Sharon says they are open 365 and their # is 765-366-3426
