i know that this powder is similar to h335, i currently use this powder for reloading .223. i am wondering if i can use the load data out of my books for the h335 and reload 30-06 and 308 with this powder as well. i have alot of it to use.

When I bought my surplus 844 and 846 it came with a load datta sheet.
I'm sitting in a motel right now, if you wait till tomarrow night I'll look at the sheet and post what it says. Aszerigan, is in Indy and sells surplus powder might IM him and see what his data sheets say

Use your H335 data STARTING loads and do proper load development with any cartridge that has pre-existing data. In most lots, the data is pretty close but you'll need to develop your own data in your own rifles.

I'm using it with CCI #34 primers in an M1 with good results.

I got some a while back from Andrew. In the process of developing my own load. He has a label on the side of the can that recommends 25gr for a 55/62 gr bullet. Have you guys tried going a bit hotter and seeing what results you get? I started with 23gr and worked up every .3gr. Could be my shooting but it seemed to open up at 23 then got tighter around 23.3 then it opened up again til getting near 25gr. I was wondering what 25.3 would look like on my target. Just nervous because of the label on the can. First time using surplus powder. The XM855 and XM193 powder weights are much heavier than 25gr. I believe these to be WCC844. So I think there still is a bit of safety above 25gr. I am just trying to get my group tighter but I don't have a chrony.

I am not sure if I recall correctly but WC846 is for 7.62 and WC844 is for 5.56. I think they are the same powder except for some anti fouling properties of the WC844 designed for the M16.

I also bought some from Andrew and from what ive tested the 25gr was more accurate out of my gun. I tested in half grain increments ranging from 22.5 up to 28 and 25 was the most accurate. I put 5 all touching at 50 yards

The commercial equivalent of WC846 is BL-C(2). They are very similar powders but they are not equivalent. WC846 contains more calcium carbonate, which some claim leads to increased fouling in semi-automatic firearms. I don't know how much you'd have to shoot to actually notice, though.

Same here. My PSA (Rifle Length) does best with 55gr.FMJ over 25.0gr. of WC844.

For me, the WC846 works very well in my 22-250 Rem. under 55gr. bullets.
This rifle has always shot well with BL-C(2) loads+ the WC846 is an equal load for me..Bill.

25 gr of WC844 worked great. Very tight groupings at 25 yrds. 50 yards still very good. At 100 they are under 2moa but my aimpoint was not sighted in for that distance so I was hitting some off the paper but what hit the paper was tight for that distance.

Plus I wear glasses and couldnt see the targets red dot. I think I did pretty good. Full production run now :)
