Oh and just so you know Anwar al-awlaki dinned at the Pentagon just a few months after 911. The Pentagon even admitted the fact.

EXCLUSIVE: Al Qaeda Leader Dined at the Pentagon Just Months After 9/11 - FoxNews.com

Congress is irrelivant and we no longer have a representative republic or a democracy for that matter.

Tell me how many countries did Germany have to invade or bomb before the world said Holy Crap if we don't get in this fight we might be next?

I'm on your side here, but please don't compare us to Nazi Germany. We're not going in, claiming ownership, and sticking people by the millions into cattle cars to be gas, starved, and worked to death.

Unfortunately, it's not that majority doesnt "Care", it's that the majority doesnt "Think" anymore.

The whole "Somebody Else will deal with it, oh crap!, gotta get home American Idol is on" mentality has left us with a bunch of selfish, insensitive, backstabbing, incompetent politicians in control.

I'm with Peashooter, let's invade America!

... AND you figured this out ... when just this week ?

    Thanks

Eisenhower warned about this exact situation but we have paid him little heed.

Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.
This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
I didn't remember the following part from the same speech. It also provides great advice to our current regime.

It's funny (not literally) you say that, because I said the same exact thing to two other INGO members over the weekend. One had stated that this is all going to lead to WW3, I said we're already in it. It just isn't fully escalated yet.

We have military personnel in that entire list of countries????? Holy crap! What is going on here? I had no idea of such an extnsive list. Are they peacekeepers or just there to hand out the foreign aid checks that everyone seems to get no matter how much they despise us?

I think that the next country we invade should be the United States. At least that way, when it is all over, we can get some schools and bridges built.
 Found this one rather humorous. Point taken.

"History"? Depends on who writes it.
