We Need a Better Search Engine

I don't know what the difference is between this forum's and some of the other ones I frequent. But this one is terrible. You search for something, and you might as well just hit "new posts" on the left side of the screen.

When we move to the new server, we will probably enable boolean searches, which will help a lot. In the meantime, you can also use Google (although it will be slightly out of date). Just include the term site:ingunowners.com to narrow the results.

I have seen posts show up on Google within 3 to 5 minutes after posting them. Also for a google search use site:ingunowners.com after your search word.

I have had numerous problems searching, as an example I have tried searching the for sale forums for 10/22 and it said no results are found... yet you can go through the first 5 pages almost any day and find something 10/22 for sale and it is normally written in the ad as 10/22.

I finally stopped trying to search for things I needed and just sorting page by page or making sure I tag a thread I have an interest in and then selecting no reporting on updates.
