Would be nice if there was a place where people could post deals they've come across, whether online or in person. I'm sure I'm not the only one who holds onto their gun money until a deal can be found...

Yeah. Maybe that would be nice. We have some running threads on deals, like the ammo thread. A dedicated subform would make it easier to help people find deals than having long-running threads where you either notice it or not. If you're looking for deals, you know where to go.

We've sort of made up our own kind of subforums by making all these general post threads. I was just thinking about posting a "fake news" general thread. A "news & current events" subforum might make a better place for posting news, but then there would naturally be a political discussion arround many of those topics.

I was thinking about this, as well. Though i'm getting tired of the lazy application of the "fake news" label. Something more general would be better, in my opinion. Just "****ty news" or "****-poor journalism"...

I think I like that better because on both sides, "fake news" now means facts that I don't want to accept. So, yeah. Maybe we need a ****ty (maybe crappy) journalism thread.

Or how about the "horrible Journalism thread". Keep it G rated.

"Dishonest Journalism"? Again... i think too many people would just throw in articles that don't fit their worldview.

Eh, whatever it ends up being, I'm sure it'll be abused here and there.

Yeah. But there IS rebuttal. If someone posts an article they think is "fake news", I would hope we don't all just accept that it's fake news without some discussions establishing why it's fake. "Because I don't like it" doesn't make it fake.

Why do we need separate forums for pistols and long guns? Because it makes it easier to find what you're looking for. A new thread can be created for each deal, leading to discussions on price and overall quality of the items. I say throw it in with the other marketplace subforums.

I just cleaned house at Cabelas in Hammond. Great clothing deals and a fish finder on sale with a 20 dollar in store gift card!
