Please recommend weapon light for tactical 12ga shotguns.

Which lights standup to the recoil?
What kind of mounts are preferred?

FYI, looking for a quality light for a 18" FN SLP.
FN has been promising the Tri-rail for over a year, but it is still vaporware.

PM Shay on this site about a good quality light. He has some good info that can only be given by him, no one else will be 'believed' and will just be shunned for relaying info...

Whatever brand of light buy a LED only. Nothing else would stand up to that kind of shock.

'scuse me? I've been running a Surefire "Classic" weaponlight on my Saiga-12 for several years now, and it hasn't crapped the sheets yet.

Prior to that, I had a Surefire dedicated forearm mount on an 11-87P, and prior to that, it was Surefire forearms on Remington 870s and Mossy 500s. All of the setups I've mentioned have used the P61 high-output incandescent lamp in a shock-isolated bezel, and I have never blown a bulb.

Might I point you to one of our Site Supporters, link on the left side for lights, etc.
