The way I read it this IAC doesn't apply to landlocked casinos since the IAC strictly States Riverboats. The law pertains to the carrying of weapons on a riverboat. Not a casino, some river boats just happen to be casinos . The laws are different on the water ways that's how Indiana got around the laws pertaining to gambling facilities. Also since the no guns sign holds no legal weight in Indiana what good does it do to post one?
If you read the IAC for the non-riverboat casinos I believe that it says that the IAC for riverboats apply. I don't have time to look it up right now, but IIRC it is in the first chapter.

Yes it does seem that the IC specifically pertains to "riverboat casinos." However, since most casinos are private businesses they can regulate weapons. I have always left my weapon locked in my car when I've patronized Hoosier Park. I do not know if they offer a "gun check" option upon entry, although as cool as they are there, it would not surprise me...kinda like the old west saloons did? I go there a few times a year, info on experiences there would be helpful.

Wouldn't the new Indiana law for where you can not carry supercede this section of the IC?

One thing to keep in mind, commercial boats fall under the authority of the US Coast Guard. I know when Caesar's first opened up they had a safe on the land side of the loading ramp. They would store your gun, no questions asked and exactly how you handed it to them (no clearing), until you got back off the boat.

Security told me that Caesar's didn't care if you had a gun on their property, but the Coast Guard regulations prohibited it.

If the boats don't move any longer, I don't know if that still holds true, but just be aware because state pre-emption laws aren't going to override Coast Guard regulations.
