Not an expert but have noticed many more birds this summer! The robins are even crazy and flying into almost everything. They seem to have lost their bearings and have created havoc around my house. Anyone else noticed?

We have seen a Baltimore Oriole twice this Spring...first time in almost 10 years. And a bunch of Rose-breasted Grossbeaks are here for the season...first time in over 5 years they have nested in the area,
    Pretty bird.

I've noticed them around here also. Last year we had one pair and now this year there are several pairs. Also have this guy hanging around, never seen one here before. A Thrasher!

The winter was BIG for waterfowl populations in Indiana, and the folks up at the Lakeshore who do migration counts had almost half a million birds pass by this spring, which was WAY up over last year. It only follows that there might be larger populations of resident birds sticking around, too.

    Birdman speaks

Herd from a "Birdman" that the wet cool weather had created an higher than normal crop of various berries and the robins have been feasting to an excess and then becoming "drunk". Other birds the same. Now that's it for the birds.

Anybody seen a larger than normal number of chupacabras?

I haven't noticed more birds here in Evansville but I have seen quite a few dead ones the last few days, robins, pigeons, doves and starlings. Just feet up in the air dead like bugs.

I will second the berry theory. My car, house, sidewalk is noticeably more "purple" than normal.

And how in the hell do they always manage to hit the door handles?
