Made sure the Patriot Guard knows about this! They already have the Mission planned but this will ensure an even greater turnout! Thanks!

We had them down here several years ago. Remember, they want to be abused so they can sue. We had to provide security for them...yea.

I'm sure this has been said here before(I usually stay out of these threads), but I particularly like how they refer to this being their first amendment right...while failing to acknowledge the fact that if it wasn't for soldiers doing what they do, these jackholes wouldn't have that right. Hypocrite much? The line of the release that got my blood going was the very last one. Wish I could make it to the "line" but it's too late of notice for me to make it there on this one. Sorry for the soapbox

So, before America became the fag-loving Sodom it supposedly is now (according to WBC), why did God allow American soldiers to die in wars? Perhaps the good pastor can expand on his theology a bit (not that anyone really cares). :bs:

American soldiers have been dying ever since the Revolution. Apparently God has never really liked the US?

God bless all the fallen servicemen and women and their loved ones.

I really wish i could have caught wind of this sooner....I would do just about anything to get out of work to be there.

With the Patriot Guard that is.

Was more for I'm sure I didn't say anything that others have said in other Westboro threads. I hate to be repetitive of things said. Never really paid attention to what those people had to say, just thought it was a punk move to protest a military funeral. Now that I actually read it, it really ticks me off...and I've never been military(somewhat regretfully), though I have several family members that were or currently are. Sad that these people make the family have to deal with their antics on top of dealing with laying their fallen to rest. One day I'll actually shut up

I had to stand about ten feet away from them for two hours. I can't tell you what I would like to do because it is their right. Even though I believe their attitudes and ideals are different. I'll shut up.

Looks like they're going to protest the funeral of a fallen soldier.

I am not certain if it is my age or my upbringing, but I truly find this to be most distasteful. Surely there is a forum/stage for this group to get their message out that does not include intruding on a family and their friends suffering through possibly the most emotional time of their lives. I would hope at some point, common sense and decency would dictate that this is unacceptable behavior.
I am thinking that if I went to Sturgis (hopefully close enough) and spent several hours insulting all people and their families who rode any motorcycles, I am going to suffer one or more good old fashion butt whoopins. If indeed I did survive, I probably would not do that again. The learning process would be a success (most children would learn this during the "don't touch the stove phase"). I find it remarkable, that I can sue someone when my own foolishness reaps negative results. It is a sad commentary that this group's presence requires overseeing to insure that natures way does not provide yet another example of the learning process.

They were in Huntington for a funeral of a Specialist. They're a joke. the less attention they get the better.

This is a cult btw. reminds me a lot of a mainstream waco or something along the lines of the movie "Red State".

That bunch from westboro are not even a church. The "pastor" and almost everyone there are related. Many are also lawyers. This is a scam family business based on causing a ruckus and documenting "voilations" of their "rights". I have been at funerals with the PGR several times and seen their tactics up close and personal. There are several altercations on you tube also.

Instead of hidding behind the protections of claiming to be a church, I wish they would take up something more honest, like running moonshine and running numbers scams. At least in those businesses, grieving widows mothers and children are treated with respect.

They announce their upcoming arrival so they can get the media and the local PD to take notice of their cause. It's not your age at all. Most everyone finds their actions inappropriate. Their have been states that have enacted laws to prevent these groups from even being near one of these funerals. I said "these groups" because they would probably sue if they thought that they alone were singled out. They expect the police to protect them and sue them when they cannot. I firmly believe in freedom of speech but don't test it.

If you have not seen their signs, take the time to look them up on the internet. They are almost too embarassing to repeat in this forum. They have actually brainwashed their children into believing their's is a better way of life. I believe that National Geographic did a show on them a couple of years ago. They spoke with the founder and followed several of its' members. I was amazed that at the lenghts these people went to to antagonize anyone they came in contact with.
