    Maybe the handyman is just making up the story because he doesn't like guns and thinks that if he mentions "security" and "police" that the resident will be intimidated by it and just go along.
    ^^^This^^^ I think the handyman had an issue but lacked the stones to open a dialogue. I've not met a true officer who would have sent some other guy to talk to you about something they had a problem with.

    Assuming you leave near Union and at one of the many apartments there, its better just to stear clear of the "rent a cop" because he is a real westfield cop and for some reason I havn't had a good experience with carrying in westfield!!! But on the same note if your lease states nothing about guns then who cares. I'm just saying dont push them, because most westfield cops go out of there way looking for stuff! Make since?

    On another note why did the handyman tell you? lol
