I'm a Sci Fi nut so I'm currently reading "Sister Time" by John Ringo.
It's part of the Aldanata series.
It's a SHTF series where the earth gets invaded by the Posleen.
Think Intelligent Centaur with an Aligator Head and a Samauri sword with a mono-molecular blade (single molecule thick, cuts through anything).
This is book 6 or 7 in the series.

So in this book Hillary DID become president and called her people to invade?

Me too! Am a big sci-fi fan and Clarke is one of my favorites. Usually have about three books going at any given time. Right now am rereading The Killer Angels, The Jesus Incident-Frank Herbert, and Ender's War-Orson Scott Card. Am on a streak with light reading right now with the exception of the Angels.

I'm still trying to track down a copy of his other book "Fear Less"

My wife has read Gavin DeBecker's books "The Gift of Fear" and "Protecting the Gift". While they sound good for cultivating awareness, he has an outlook on guns that I can't quite sort out. On the one hand, he owns them and says he is not opposed to others owning them...then he goes into rhetoric on holding gun manufacturers accountable for the "gun deaths" they cause.

I just don't think he is our friend, and can't bring myself to read his books.
If I want to get my mind right on awareness, I will re-read Jeff Cooper's "Principles of Personal Defense" or something by Ayoob. At least I know where they stood/stand with us.

Here is a link to a somewhat dated interview with him from GUNS magazine:

That guy is certainly full of himself, isn't he! I wouldn't waste my money supporting that twisted fool.

Just finished Anthem by Ayn Rand(short composition, really not a novel)

Prior to that Farnam's Freehold and America Alone. On deck is Rise to Rebellion.

If you are a Heinlein fan, you should try Freehold by Michael Z. Williamson.
He's a local guy who writes Great SciFi and Makes Custom Knives.
    He posts on THR.
I guess I should invite him over here.
He sells his knives at the 1500.
