Hi all, let me start by saying that I do not currently compete... but I really want to, and I think this summer will be the time for me to step up and give it a go. So, considering the different associations (IDPA, IPSC, GSSf, etc), WHAT CHANGES CAN I MAKE TO MY GLOCKS (G34 and G23) and still shoot in "Production/stock" categories?

    Can I change sights?
Can I change internals with other Glock OEM internals (like a gen3 trigger bar in a gen4 gun, or the lightest Glock OEM connector)?
Can I polish internals, like the .25 cent trigger job?
Can I change the recoil spring (to either glock OEM or aftermarket)?

Thanks for the crash course, I'm also looking at the official websites, but would love to hear from you guys.

And as far as I know, for USPSA at least yes to all of your questions

I think the key words are MEETS OEM SPECS!! Sights you can change. You can add grip tape, you can even change barrels. There is alot of mods you can do and still be legal..

If you decide to slap your slide on a drill press and lighten it by drilling holes through it. Drill all the way through both sides on the same stroke so the holes on the left and right sides line up.:patriot:

Why change anything other than the sights? Its a great gun out of the box. If you lighten the trigger or replace internals, its not a good everyday carry gun anymore.

    Dont mess with perfection.:twocents:

In general I agree. But, with a G23 for carry, why not lighten/improve what I can on the G34?
I don't use it for EDC, strictly range/house/fun gun.

Thanks for all the responses everyone
