What did I make roadkill? Woodchuck? Wolverine? Badger?

My wife and I driving past Coldwater, MI on our way back from vacation cruising to the state line at about a buck thirty when a woodchuck looking creature appeared running in the road in front of us, and popped out from under a truck ahead of us. The truck went over him, missing it by inches, but it froze completely still in my tire path after the truck passed and I had no choice being boxed in by a vehicle not too far behind and to my right by a car that spotted it too and also braked.

The poor thing was flat against the road but had its head raised, so it got a body rail or likely the trailer hitch right to the skull.

It looked like a groundhog but it was grey not brown and it moved really fast, until it didn't

I don't think it's a mile marker. Coldwater is at the 12 mile marker on I-69 and US 12. Maybe he was sitting on five quarters and a nickle?

    130 kph ~ 80mph

Thanks guys, what threw me off was I didn't know they could have grey coats, I've only seen brown ones.

What did you use to record this?

    B40c no name Chinese dashcam.

Mine is the "supercapacitor" version. The supercapacitor version is supposed to last longer than the battery version and the cap doesnt have the potential to explode if overheated while sitting in a hot car on a summer day. The only trade off is it won't turn on and record if something hits your car while it's parked with the ignition off.
