How badly my dad was tortured before they caused the heart attack in '72? My mom wouldn't let me look at him when they shipped the body back from DaNang. She said it was too gruesome for an 8 year old boy to see. My mom wept since he looked so bad, not because he had passed. She was pretty much immune from that from the Korean War in her home country. All her brothers and even her dad fought in the war. Funny thing, that is how she met my dad...her brothers liked him so much as an interrogator that they wanted baby sister to meet the redheaded American from Kokomo.
