What happened to 17 HM2 ammo?

    First I understand the 17 HM2 is based on the 22 stinger case and recognize 22 ammo is in short supply. That being said I get it that 17 HM2 should be in short supply but shouldn't be extinct. I called CCI and was told there was no plan to discontinue its production but they were having trouble getting primed case from their supplier (eley). What is the rumor mill saying? Is the 17 HM2 dead?

    From what I understand, HM2 is low on the list as it's just not all that popular.

    There are .17M2 rifles on Gunbroker for less than the .22LR versions of the same rifles. The ammo prices there for that round are all over the place.

    There is some at Show Search Results if you want to spend the money. I don't recall how much it used to be. Currently it's 65 cents per round.
