What happened to the price of HST?

Can someone explain the reason for this LE only thing? I have not bought hst in over a year but have bought it over the counter and mail ordered it several hundred rounds at a time. What if anything has changed?

LE probably gets a discount and buys in bulk. Trickle some out to the masses at a premium. Just my WAG.

It's about maximizing profit. They think that they will make more money by selling the same product at two different price points depending on the customer.

Just a heads up there are several vendors at the 1500 that still sell 50 count boxes for $22 a pop for 147gr 9mm, sucks I have to cary my happy ass to Indy to buy HST but it is what it is .

FWIW, American Reloading has had pulled HST bullets recently. They go fast but being on their mailing list helps...

I have at least 500 pulled 147gr HST's from A.R. Haven't yet loaded any.

HSTs are great.

But I can buy Gold Dots for 23 cents each and load them for under 30 cents a round. HSTs are great, but three times better than Gold Dots? I doubt it.
