EDC G19. Used to be the XDSC but the Springfield XD subcompact isnt really that much smaller than the Glock when you stand it up on the sights next to one another. XD was heavier too.

    When in Rome.

Would it be redundant to have a "What have you carried concealed" thread? I am interested in carrying concealed and struggle with the many opinions on what "should" be carried. Then again, a thread might just add to my confusion. :)

I see a lot of large firearms listed in this thread and I know one can carry these concealed, but it would be interesting to see what the ratio of smaller guns(Shield, snub noses, etc.) is to full size(1911, FS Glocks, M&P's, Model 29's, etc.) handguns.

This is as concealed as I get here in Indiana. When I travel out of State I have a leather IWB at 3:00 only because,"When in Rome one must shoot Roman candles you know". or something like that. :)

I've tried many. I'm one to try stuff and then trade it until I get something I like. The ones I carried on my person (as opposed to in my vehicle) more than 2 months:

    LCR .357
    LC9 (longest)
    Sig P238

Why would anyone want to conceal? Only criminals conceal...:):
Action is always faster than reaction. I realize police open carry. They also wear a vest and greater consequence comes from shooting one. I'm not a police officer and not going to wear a vest. Thus, I'm not going to wear a target that screams "Shoot me first!" When I see open carry I think, "Stay far enough from this guy and I will have a few extra seconds to get mine at the ready." I don't need to advertise that I'm armed and dangerous. I'm also prior service military. I learned that camouflage is a serious tactical advantage. I think they knew what they were talking about, so I'll stick with that advice.

    In 1971 I started carrying with a Colt Cobra, occasionally carried a Python in a shoulder holster. After 20 years, or so started carrying 1911s. Then about 8-9 years ago I switched back to revolvers. S&W J, K, & L frames. Most of the tome I carry a 642, a 65 with a 3" barrel, or a 66 F-comp with a 3" barrel.
