I personally would hesitate at getting anything at Blythe's. The reason is their prices seem to be FAR higher than most other places on most things. I would suggest you take a look at bass pro shop, or cabela's or Gander mountain....as much as I hate the big box stores.

    Very well said.

I'm always amazed by the people willing to spend $400, $600 or even $1000 on a carry gun but then they get a $19.95 holster for it and complain that 'the gun' is too big or 'the gun' is too heavy, or 'the gun' doesn't feel comfortable. All those issues are not 'the gun' but actually THE CHEAP ASS HOLSTER that the high quality gun got stuffed into. And I'm not saying that a holster has to be expensive. It does not. But it must be well made, designed for the gun you are going to carry and, most importantly, it must be well designed.

I carry a 2+ pound 1911 daily, sure I know its there but its not uncomfortable and I don't have to fidget with it, it does not shift around or sag or even poke me in the side.

For IWB, get a CROSSBREED Super Tuck for comfort. Just my :twocents:
For OWB, there are dozens of great holsters out there to consider but get a well designed holster!

If the holster claims to be "universal fit" then do NOT buy it. There is no such thing in a well designed holster.
