One of our plumbing disasters this past winter was due largely to a mini-fat berg from the kitchen garbage disposal. After fighting that, I feel sorry for those London sewer workers--nasty.

Would be better if it happened in those people's houses.
But then they'd probably want London to fix that.

I drain fat into an old container, then when it's full, it goes into the garbage.

Well, I'm 'pretty sure' those tennis balls, grapefruit, planks, rubber gloves, wipes and all the other garbage the Brits don't bother throwing in the bin has a 'wee bit' to do with those massive lumps, as well. :lmfao:

Didn't London have the giant ball that they would flush down the sewers to clean the lines?? It was a wooden ball about 12 foot diameter. I remember hearing about it on the science channel. They would drop in in the lines a couple times a year to smash everything and the water buildup behind it would push it through.

Going through town the other day and seen an old lady dumping stuff in the street drain. Jamming branches and leaves in it to clean her yard.
